The timeline of the project was set up according to information from the general contractor for the proton therapy system and according experience taken from comparable centers which have been built in the recent past. We concluded that the first patient shall be treated with protons at about 4 years after the start of the project at the latest.
In April 2008 the project was published for the first time under the name PTC Galgenen.
After finishing the project pre-development in January 2010 we changed the project name to “Proton Therapy Center Zürichobersee” (PTC Zürichobersee).
